| The Alpaca Breeders of Western New York, Inc. Mission Statement Is: |
| To promote, educate and support the alpaca breeders, owners and enthusiasts in Western New York.
Specific Mission Objectives:
The Association shall: |
| 1. |
be operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of section 501 (C) (5) of the Internal Code of 1986 as amended (the Code) |
| 2. |
act, and shall take such actions to ensure compliance with its tax exempt status under the Code in its efforts to promote the alpaca industry in the State of New York |
| 3. |
facilitate communications between and among the alpaca breeders in WNY |
| 4. |
provide educational activities which inform the public as to the alpaca and its value as a domestic animal |
| 5. |
provide general educational activities which inform the public as to the value of alpaca fiber and its use as end products
|
| 6. |
conduct educational activities for current and prospective breeders as to appropriate animal husbandry for alpacas |
| 7. |
facilitate cooperative efforts such as shearing and transportation between and among alpaca breeders |
| 8. |
organize a collection of printed and human resources available to current and prospective breeders in WNY |
| 9. |
inform current and prospective alpaca breeders as to appropriate ethical standards of the industry as set forth by the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association and the Empire Alpaca Association |
| 10. |
assist owners in the organization of shows and events in the WNY area which feature alpacas and alpaca fiber end products |
| 11. |
assist owners in becoming aware of the value of other New York agricultural organizations/efforts such as the Farm Bureau, Pride of New York and the Empire Alpaca Association |
