Devin has shown in both rose and silver gray classification but always with the same results. His show placing’s include:

• 1st Place 2005 North American Alpaca Show
• 1st Place 2005 MAPACA Jubilee
• 1st Place and Color Champion 2005 PAOBA Showcase
• 1st Place 2005 Empire State Extravaganza
• 1st Place and Reserve Color Champion 2006 Kentucky Classic
• 1st Place Fleece 2006 PAOBA
• 1st Place 2006 Empire State Extravaganza
• 1st Place and Reserve Color Champion 2007 Carolina Alpaca Celebration and

Devin’s incredible topknot and coverage are only the tip of the iceberg, he not only has the look, he has the fleece that you’re looking for out of a gray herdsire. It is dense, fine, and exhibits fantastic crimp style that translates into fine bundling rarely found in gray fleeces.

Devin is Co-Owned by Stoney Acres Alpacas and Kendall Creek Farms Alpacas and we are very anxiously awaiting his first crias that will be on the ground this fall. Sir Devin is now open to limited outside breeding, and we feel he will make a significant contribution to any gray breeding program.

Giacomo

Giacomo was born on our farm with an extraordinary  case of “soft rolling skin”!  This is a rare occurrence in crias and is a precursor to extreme density of the fleece due to a high frequency of hair follicles per inch.  Giacomo’s fleece is the finest on our farm and is truly the proverbial “Berber Carpet”, yet with a buttery-soft hand.  Giacomo’s cria to date have gorgeous, popcorny fleeces and are beginning to take Championship banners in the show ring! Giacomo  is the son of the late, great Peruvian Dakotia (Bueno son) from Magical Farms and his Dam hails from the legendary Caligula line.  Bueno + Caligula…that is some pedigree!  If you are looking for that special male to add density without  compromising fineness with world-class bloodlines, book your breeding to Giacomo at Silver Cloud Farm!

Chewbaca

ScF Chewbacca is a stunning, masculine Dark Fawn 3-time Champion male.  His bloodlines include the legendary Hemingway and Peruvian Accoyo Leon.  He is a solid, large male with a remarkable fleece: a very long staple, extreme fineness (15 micron as a yearling), very bright and has remarkable density for a fleece this fine.  To find these very low micron fibers in such a dense, Dark Fawn fleece is exceptional.  All this coupled  with an outstanding Huacaya style head, covered with dense narrow crimped fibers, which carry down thru the neck and body to the lower extremities.  His crias have begun to hit the ground…and the showring!  Look for them at all the major alpaca shows!  (Co-owned with Absolute Alpacas)

Chase Tavern Lucas Gold

The perfect phenotype male and it is evident in the show ring. A consistent ribbon winner, Lucas finished second in an extremely competitive white class of fifteen at the Empire Extravaganza 2003. Mike Safely was amazed at the combination of softness, density and staple formation in his fleece. He finished third in a large class at MAPACA 2003, won a blue ribbon at AOBA 2003, finished with a second place ribbon and a first place Bred and Owned Yearling Male at the New England Costal Classic 2003. Lucas also won second place yearling male bred and owned at Empire 2003. Lucas Gold is now at home breeding and we have several "Gold" crias on the ground. Our first Lucas cria old enough to enter the show-ring in the spring took a blue ribbon in a competitive white class. The rest have followed in her footsteps, consistently ribboning in level five shows, most of them in competitive white classes. The 2006 crias seem to have moved to the next level in fleece unbelievably so, watch for this batch in the later Spring and Fall of 2007 shows when they come of age. His crias are exhibiting outstanding fleece characteristics with bundling staples, density, fineness, and extreme brightness. They are also perfect in conformation and bite with beautiful heads. Add "Gold" genetics to your herd today.
